"Buy sex, go to jail" - anti-sex trafficking slogan transplanted from Patria to Toronto.

In Patria, the war on prostitution begins with targeting the sleazy, disgusting, low-life men who patronize hookers. "Buy sex, go to jail" and the hashtag #jailforjohns are seen on buses and billboards everywhere in Patria. The campaign, ostensibly to fight sex trafficking, has been pushed during every election cycle since 1998, particularly by the law-and-order National Union and the Hindu nationalist SRM.

Patria's hoary old anti-prostitution campaign has apparently been transplanted to Canada. Buses in York Region, just north of Toronto, feature an ad campaign launched by York Regional Police.

It should be noted that there are not enough murderers, rapists and other violent criminals in Patria to fill its jails, so the police have to target small fry such as losers who seek out "escorts", street hookers and massage parlors in order to meet their arrest quotas and keep the prison industrial complex in business.
